World Wetlands Day

On February 02, 2010, TCF celebrated World Wetlands Day with school children from Bijheria and Rakhi villages. TCF interacted with the students from all age groups and gave them an understanding of the importance of wetlands in their day-to-day lives and for Bandhavgarh on the whole. TCF arranged a field visit of the children to the wetland (lake) in Infinity Bandhavgarh Wilderness campus and explained about the biodiversity present in it. The students were enthusiastic about the whole exercise and expressed their desire to preserve their wetlands.

Awareness sessions with school children

TCF organizes wildlife movie shows at schools in eleven different villages, named Tala, Bijheria, Garhpuri, Gurwahi, Panpatha, Kushmahi, Pathera, Kathli, Pator, Mala, and Rakhi. Through these sessions, TCF interacts with young students explaining them about the local fauna and flora and the conservation issues of BTR.   Snake Awareness Programme

TCF's 24X7 helpline for snake rescue from the villages and fields in the vicinity of Tala area of Bandhavgarh has been a successful and first-of-its-kind initiative in the area. TCF has initiated an awareness programme along with the rescue helpline to educate villagers, forest department field staff and resort personnel about the basic facts of snakes. TCF team regularly visits the villages and organises interactive lectures with the help of illustrative posters on snakes found in Bandhavgarh.
